Each group of letter notes is played from left to right, and vertical letters on the same column are played together.
The numbers in front of each line are the octave, each octave has an unique color so you can easily follow them.
Lowercase (a b c d e f g) letters are natural notes (white keys, a.k.a A B C D E F G ).
Uppercase (A C D F G) letters are the sharp notes (black keys a.k.a. A# C# D# F# G#), look at the image below to see where each letter note is on the piano keyboard.
The lines / dashes (-) between letters indicates timing to play the notes. Just listen to the audio file at the top of the post to figure out the time lenght of the dashes (usually 5-6 dashes is about 1 second)
RH / LH means Right Hand / Left Hand and it's mostly for people who play the piano, it tells them with what hand to play the lines. Also, if you want to play a easy version of the song, playing only the RH lines does exactly that, because on most songs RH notes are for melody and LH notes are for bass.

Quick guide on how to read the letter notes

The numbers in front of each line are the octave, each octave has an unique color so you can easily follow them.
Lowercase (a b c d e f g) letters are natural notes (white keys, a.k.a A B C D E F G ).
Uppercase (A C D F G) letters are the sharp notes (black keys a.k.a. A# C# D# F# G#), look at the image below to see where each letter note is on the piano keyboard.

can you finish this is half way finished f ff fdd is the beginning of the middle
ReplyDeleteUpdated, is full song now, but be aware that the notes are slightly different from previous version.
Deletenow to restart...
Deletethank you ( =
It actually isn't finished...
Deleteyes, but it's long enough, for most people, and the second part of the song is not that interesting.
DeleteUmm, the second part is very musically powerful, especially the calm part (Bb f e d, Bb f e d) followed by this, (f e c e d gac) and then that really grim part. So I'd argue against that. It's the best parts of the song in musical terms.
DeletePlease do the entire song. I really like it and I want to be able to play it all on a piano.
Deletetry this:

what does the - mean?
ReplyDeleteit's the timing between notes, more lines means you have to wait more time before playing next note.
DeleteGnarly, thanks! This is the only comprehensible letter note list for Megalovania I've found on the internet! Currently using this to learn it on the Kalimba, wish me luck! (I mean, if you want to, you don't have to, it's not like I'm FORCING you to do anything, just saying it'd be real neato if you did [is this how one plays hard to get?])
ReplyDeleteGood luck dude! :D
DeleteGnarly?

Hey can you convert any of the dashes to seconds for me (any form of time will do) I need to figure out how long the gaps made by the dashes are. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteJust listen to the audio file and you can figure it out easily. For this song 1 second = about 7 dashes.
DeleteFor other songs on the site it may vary because of the conversion sources, so better to listen to the audio file to figure out the timings.
number notes please
ReplyDeleteyou can convert then to numbers yourself, or better learn letter notes instead, they are more popular and easier to find on the internet.
Deletethis is too long
