Each group of letter notes is played from left to right, and vertical letters on the same column are played together.
The numbers in front of each line are the octave, each octave has an unique color so you can easily follow them.
Lowercase (a b c d e f g) letters are natural notes (white keys, a.k.a A B C D E F G ).
Uppercase (A C D F G) letters are the sharp notes (black keys a.k.a. A# C# D# F# G#), look at the image below to see where each letter note is on the piano keyboard.
The lines / dashes (-) between letters indicates timing to play the notes. Just listen to the audio file at the top of the post to figure out the time lenght of the dashes (usually 5-6 dashes is about 1 second)
RH / LH means Right Hand / Left Hand and it's mostly for people who play the piano, it tells them with what hand to play the lines. Also, if you want to play a easy version of the song, playing only the RH lines does exactly that, because on most songs RH notes are for melody and LH notes are for bass.

Quick guide on how to read the letter notes

my sister is a professional keyboard player and she disapproves of your piano playing. sorry you got no skills!
ReplyDeleteThis blog is not meant for professional keyboard players, they know how to read music sheets. This blog is mainly for beginners, so most of the songs are simplified so it's easy for noobs to play songs they like.
DeleteOk so first, even if the admin already answered you and you posted that comment 4 years ago i'd still like to say that there is no need to be purely mean like this, not forgetting that the admin does that mainly to help people (well I think it is why you do this, I hope I'm not saying something wrong on you, and if I did then I'm sorry). All I want to say is that this comment is not constructive and this type of comment doesn't help anybody, it is just mean and you're not even sharing your own opinion. Moreover a constructive critic could have been formulated like this : "My sister is a proffessional keyboard player and player and she disapproves your piano playing, I sincerly hope that you'll end up getting better" (I know my comment is long and probably useless but i just wanted to say it because I found that freely offensive)
DeleteThis is the end
ReplyDeleteHold your breath and count to ten
Feel the earth move and then
Hear my heart burst again
For this is the end
I've drowned and dreamt this moment
So overdue I owe them
Swept away, I'm stolen
Let the sky fall
When it crumbles
We will stand tall
Face it all together
Let the sky fall
When it crumbles
We will stand tall
Face it all together
At skyfall
That skyfall
Skyfall is where we start
A thousand miles and poles apart
Where worlds collide and days are dark
You may have my number, you can take my name
But you'll never have my heart
Let the sky fall (let the sky fall)
When it crumbles (when it crumbles)
We will stand tall (we will stand tall)
Face it all together
Let the sky fall (let the sky fall)
When it crumbles (when it crumbles)
We will stand tall (we will stand tall)
Face it all together
At skyfall
[x2:]
(Let the sky fall
When it crumbles
We will stand tall)
Where you go I go
What you see I see
I know I'd never be me
Without the security
Of your loving arms
Keeping me from harm
Put your hand in my hand
And we'll stand
Let the sky fall (let the sky fall)
When it crumbles (when it crumbles)
We will stand tall (we will stand tall)
Face it all together
Let the sky fall (let the sky fall)
When it crumbles (when it crumbles)
We will stand tall (we will stand tall)
Face it all together
At skyfall
Let the sky fall
We will stand tall
At skyfall
Oh-s...
