Quick guide on how to read the letter notes

how to read and play the letter notes
Each group of letter notes is played from left to right, and vertical letters on the same column are played together.

The numbers in front of each line are the octave, each octave has an unique color so you can easily follow them.

Lowercase (a b c d e f g) letters are natural notes (white keys, a.k.a A B C D E F G ).
Uppercase (A C D F G) letters are the sharp notes (black keys a.k.a. A# C# D# F# G#), look at the image below to see where each letter note is on the piano keyboard.

The lines / dashes (-) between letters indicates timing to play the notes. Just listen to the audio file at the top of the post to figure out the time lenght of the dashes (usually 5-6 dashes is about 1 second)

RH / LH means Right Hand / Left Hand and it's mostly for people who play the piano, it tells them with what hand to play the lines. Also, if you want to play a easy version of the song, playing only the RH lines does exactly that, because on most songs RH notes are for melody and LH notes are for bass.

  1. BON VOYAGE! mabushii hikari o mezashite
bokura no KIRAMEKI wa shizumanai taiyou
yukou hito kakera no yuuki hirogete
mirai e no SHIPPO chotto mieta yo

Bon Voyage! Aiming for the radiant light,
The beacon we're heading for, that everlasting Sun.
Let's go! Show the world the courage within our hearts!
I can see our ship forging into the future.

saisho wa minna BARABARA ni egaite ita chiheisen
ima nara hitotsu no bouenkyou de nozokeru

Back when we set sail, everyone has drawn his own goal, the horizon he had imagined.
But now we can all see through the same telescope.

kimi no KOKORO madowasu unmei no shoppai KONPASU
    saka te ni kajitoru yo

Fate is a ruthless compass forcing your heart into frenzy.
I'll make sure I take it from your hands.

BON VOYAGE! SHIGARAMI mo kako mo sutete
bokura nara sore demo waraeteru hazu
yume o kanaeru tame no namida naraba
oshikukenai Precious in my life Oh...

    Bon Voyage! Leave behind the remains of our past;
I'm sure we can still laugh no matter what comes.
If it were to make our dreams come true,
I'll never regret those priceless tears I shed.

yuganda MIRAA ja ashita wa utsusenai to omotteru ne?
demo Sunshine yureru namima ni datte hansha suru

We thought a bended mirror can't show us what tomorrow will bring, right?
Then why is sunshine reflecting from the choppy waves? Surely tomorrow will be a bright one?

kimi ga tobikonda natsu no ookina mizu shibuki
    sora ni niji o kaketa

I remember that day you splashed hard into the sea,
I could see a rainbow pulsing in the showers, etched into the blue sky.

aoi konna nazo darake no uchuu
toki ni wa kanashimi ni mo butsukaru darou
    HINYARI deguchi no mienai PINCHI
    ...tte yuuka CHANSU
kotae wa itsumo Shining in your heart Oh...

    Even that mysterious blue sky
would flow with time and grieve.
So if there's ever a day
we're lost without a way out, don't just give up!
For the answer is always there, shining inside your heart.

BON VOYAGE! hageshii nami o nori koete
bokura no yakusoku wa nijimanai tegami
yukou hito kakera no yuuki de iin janai?
ima kono shunkan Precious in my life

Bon Voyage! The bottled letter riding on the roaring waves,
That's our promise that will never fade.
Let's go! We can do it with that courage in our very souls.
This exact moment is just so precious to me.

mirai e no SHIPPO chotto mieta yo

I can see our ship heading to a bright tomorrow.
